The City of Seattle
Seattle was named after Chief Sealth in the 1850s. Although its official nickname is the Emarald City, it has several unofficial nicknames. Such as the Rainy City, due to its reputation for rain, and the Jet City, on account of the fact that it is home of Boeing's headquarters.With an estimated population of over 3.7 million, Seattle is the largest city in the Northwest. Its ideal location between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington have made it an extremely popular place to live. Seattle also boasts views of the Cascade and Olympic Mountain range. It is located in King County, Washingtons most popoulus county.
